Dr. Jim Halgrimson, MD

Dr. Halgrimson is a Board-Certified Baylor Trained Psychiatrist who is proud to serve children, adolescents and adults with Psychiatry of Austin. Dr. Halgrimson treats a wide range of mental health conditions, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, and other cognitive conditions. Dr. Halgrimson is passionate about helping patients reach their personal, academic and professional goals. Dr. Halgrimson is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and has served in several leadership roles with the Texas Medical Association, as well as with various nonprofit organizations in his community to support fair and equally accessible health care. He’s passionate about volunteering his experience to support mental health in underserved areas for those suffering from severe mental illness. Dr. Halgrimson is published Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and has served as President of the Austin Psychiatric Society. Dr. Halgrimson has expertly presented testimony to the Texas Legislature in support of strengthening mental health throughout Texas. He’s presented on behalf of organizations like the Texas Medical Association, Texas Pediatric Society, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Halgrimson enjoys cooking, reading, hiking and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Dr. Marc Kundler, MD

Dr. Kundler is a Board Certified Psychiatrist, and has successfully treated thousands of Psychiatric Patients. Since completing his Psychiatry Residency at New York University, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kundler has more than 23 years of experience treating a wide variety of conditions, as well as supervising Psychiatrists, Medical Students and Residents, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners. He has also served as Medical Director for Psychiatric Hospitals and Rehabilitaion facilities, and has held faculty appointments at NYU and UIW School of Medicine. Dr. Kundler believes in prescribing the fewest medications needed at the lowest doses necessary, and partnering with his patients in order to make treatment decisions. His hobbies include trekking, cycling, squash and pickleball.

Candice Schrodetzki, APRN

Candice is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion to help all age groups. As a graduate from the University of Texas Health Science-Houston, Candice understands the need to listen and create a comprehensive treatment plan that aligns with your specific needs. Candice takes a holistic approach to treating mental health while incorporating modern day therapies. She specializes in OCD, ADHD, stress, and anxiety disorders. She is passionate about the LGBTQ+ community, and wants each and every person to feel safe and comfortable while under her care. Her goal is to help you attain your goals, to gain your trust, and create a treatment plan that you feel is achievable.

RUSSELL HAYES MPAS, PA-C

Russell is a Certified Physician Assistant who is a graduate of the Interservice Physician Assistant Program, Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. Russell is an experienced practitioner who has worked in a variety of clinical settings during his 20 year career. This wide range of clinical experience allows him to assess both mental and physical aspects of psychological problems. As a veteran he is passionate about helping the veteran community. His areas of interest include PTSD, Anxiety Disorders and Depressive Disorders. His goal is creating a unique treatment plan tailored to improving his patient’s quality of life. When not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising and outdoor activities.
